  2. We paid 2 bitcoin to get the decryption tool but the tool wouldn't decrypt anything over 2 GB and only decrypted a small amount of the files under 2 GB. When communicating with the attackers, they demanded another bitcoin to give us a "plugin" to decrypt the rest. We were able to get a majority of the main files from the file allocation tables before the attack happened. This is the first ransomware attack I've seen where the ransom was paid and the attackers didn't follow through with their end of the deal and just asked for more money. This is where we drew the line and didn't pay any more. Never paying ransom again!!! Also, I tried the Avast decrypter and it didn't do anything for me. and other sites don't currently have a decryption tool for this that I'm aware of.

  7. Even after many years, this is a good PC configuration. If you told that it still works, then this is very very good quality. Many current configurations and generally processors made for Win10, motherboards, video cards are outright crap.
  8. Dear GT500, the problems continue and now with many more pcs.. I already send you more reports
  9. Thank you so much. It has just been a financial problem to upgrade my PC. Still running a core2duo 2.93ghz with MSI G41M motherboard. Socket 775 Need to upgrade, working on it
  10. @Gladstone After cleaning, you can attach the logs again and we will look in the logs for the presence of remaining unwanted elements.
  11. No, unfortunately there's been no new developments with this ransomware.
  12. I've asked our malware analysts if we still need information about this ransowmare.
  13. I'm glad to hear that some of your files were recoverable. Someone will contact you if your decryption key can be figured out.
  14. You mean this card? That was first released more than a decade ago (shortly after AMD bought out ATI), and I doubt AMD would be maintaining drivers for it after so many years. If you need a Windows 10 compatible video card, then I recommend an NVIDIA GTX 1030 as there are some that are relatively inexpensive right now. I'm sure AMD also has a low end video card in the same price range if you would prefer that, however I'm not familiar with their model numbers.
  15. We recommend that you don't contact the criminals yourself. It's best to have a third party (such as Coveware) with experience negotiating with such criminals contact them for you.
  16. Unfortunately I probably won't be told when it's fixed. If you'd like to see automatic notifications when new versions of our software are released, then we do have RSS feeds at the following links, however please note that the changelogs don't list every change that's been made: Stable updates: Beta updates:

  18. Please run FRST again. Next, select and copy the following text, including the words Start:: and End::. Switch back to the FRST program window, and click the Fix button. It should read the fix directly from the clipboard and run the fix. When it is finished, please attach the fixlog.txt file it created in the same folder the FRST program is in.

  26. Hey there everyone, I was cleaning my computer today and I stumbled upon my exclusions list which had some suspicious grayed-out exclusions in it that I could not remove. I tried to remove them from the registry but that did not work (see image). I also installed Malwarebytes and scanned my computer and removed the threats but when I restarted my computer and went onto my exclusions list, the grayed-out files were still there. The last possible option I can think of is to factory reset my pc but I have two concerns for that, one being it would take a long time to do and it would be annoying to do it and the second being the fear of the exclusions/malware coming back after I restore the old data back to my computer. Please help me with this problem, I've been trying to fix it for days!! Addition.txt FRST.txt
