Official Online Armor ++ roadmap
Christian Mairoll replied to Christian Mairoll's topic in Other Emsisoft products
I can guarantee that every customer will always get a valid update/upgrade path. The product will definitely not be shut down over night without any updates provided. So it's safe to buy a renewal as long as it is offered. The Internet Security Pack installer is just a combined installer of the current Anti-Malware and Online Armor setups, so there is no delay to expect when Anti-Malware 6.0 goes final release. -
Official Online Armor ++ roadmap
Christian Mairoll replied to Christian Mairoll's topic in Other Emsisoft products
See, we had to decide if we continue OA++ and lose several months of development time just to bring it up to date with the latest scan engine improvements or better invest the time in a faster progress of OA premium and Anti-Malware. We don't want to have redundant work, so it was clear to focus on an Internet Security Pack and not for OA++ which currently lacks many of the antivirus features that Anti-Malware already has. -

We don't kill it immediately, we just don't continue development and implementation of new features. -

The Internet Security Pack consists of two standalone programs: Emsisoft Anti-Malware and Online Armor Premium. If you want to switch, both programs must be installed. You'll get two new keys for unlocking then. -

That will take a while. Can't estimate a release date now, sorry. -

Online Armor Premium is still being offered standalone too. While it's not visible on the front page, it can be reached via the top menu (similar to Mamutu and all other products). -
As some of you already noticed, we have removed Online Armor ++ from the www.emsisoft.com website. This is our current roadmap for Online Armor++: Our long term goal is to merge our product development departments of Online Armor and Anti-Malware to create a new common code base for both. That's required for best coordination of the products. Emsisoft offers a bundle of Anti-Malware and Online Armor Premium which is now called "Emsisoft Internet Security Pack". It's the best choice for overall protection as it combines the advanced antivirus/antimalware scanning features of Anti-Malware with the awarded firewall and HIPS features of Online Amor. To avoid redundant development of antivirus components, we have decided to not continue development of Online Armor++. That means we'll not implement the new optimized Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6.0 scan engine and not extend the antivirus scanner capabilities in Online Armor++. Online Armor++ is still available on the www.online-armor.com website for a while, but we recommend all users to choose the Internet Security Pack over Online Armor++ because it's expected that the product lifecycle ends on the long run. Emsisoft offers all Online Armor ++ customers to switch their license to the Internet Security Pack for free! Please contact our customer support if you want to do so. Edit: Online Armor Premium edition is NOT affected by this decision at all. It's still provided as standalone Firewall/HIPS.

Could you please try if the same problem appears with the latest Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6.0 Beta version? You can find it on our download page. Ensure to uninstall the other version first. -
Thanks for testing! We've found a serious problem with the referral system that prevented automatic credits on your account. I've extended your license manually now. Please ensure that your referred users use a fresh downloaded build of Anti-Malware using your link. The previous setup file didn't work correctly.

No, you have to create the whitelist entry for the file or folder path before restoring. Usually people don't intend to keep malware on their system. -

Most of the Anti-Malware Network collected data is processed automatically with continued manual optimizations. That's not a secret. No antivirus vendor would be able to manually analyze hundreds of thousands submissions every day.

6.0 beta reports license invalid
Christian Mairoll replied to adrman's topic in Emsisoft Anti-Malware Home
Because of a bug in beta, the license was changed to freeware mode during a server downtime today. We're already investigating in that. Thanks for reporting! -
Hi guys, after a long period of extensive testing, Emsisoft presents the final version of Online Armor Firewall 5.1! You can find the setup here: http://www.emsisoft....tware/download/ What is new in Online Armor 5.1? Greatly increased compatibility and stability with other applications We focused on improving the compatibility and stability of Online Armor in conjunction with products like Google Chrome, Sandboxie, Panda Cloud AV and others. Overhauled white list settings We changed the white list settings slightly. In addition it is now possible to optionally trust all digitally signed files that were signed using a certificate that hasn't been used in connection with fraudulent or malicious activities in the past. New upload feature You are not sure about a certain program? You can now easily upload it to the Emsisoft Anti-Malware Network and get the file scanned using Emsisoft Anti-Malware. Automatic updates also in the Freeware version Users with the Freeware version can also take advantage of automatic updates. This is a major enhancement to the Freeware version since the blacklists and whitelists are updated on a daily basis. More than 100 other bug fixes More than 100 reported bugs and issues in Online Armor 5.0 are fixed in 5.1. Those fixes include for example a recently reported vulnerability with Sinowal drive-by downloads, freezes during the SCW, freezes when executing applications from network shares, various Online Armor GUI freezes, cases where Online Armor forgot about certain application rules as well as many others. How do I install Online Armor 5.1? If you already have Online Armor Premium or ++ installed, run an online update to get the latest version automatically. Alternatively you can download and execute the setup linked above to do a fresh installation (required for Online Armor Free). We want your feedback!
