  1. I excluded Avast entirely from OA yesterday. I excluded oasrv.exe from the Avast behavior shield after the latest error. I will exclude a bit each time and see what happens. The HIPS features are definitely enabling themselves after oasrv.exe has a problem. Looking back through my event logs I had these errors with OA 4.5 but not as frequently and I don't recall the HIPS features enabling themselves with 4.5. After searching around I noticed some other people have had the same error with oasrv.exe.
  2. And another crash just now. 5/19 Faulting application name: oasrv.exe, version: 5.0.0.1097, time stamp: 0x2a425e19 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17514, time stamp: 0x4ce7ba58 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00038da9 Faulting process id: 0x5cc Faulting application start time: 0x01cc16462985b01d Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Online Armor\oasrv.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll Report Id: 70ecf69d-8239-11e0-92fd-005056c00008
  3. Here's one of them, the rest are the same. I never had this issue with version 4.5. The last crash was on 5/17. Faulting application name: oasrv.exe, version: 5.0.0.1097, time stamp: 0x2a425e19 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17514, time stamp: 0x4ce7ba58 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00038da9 Faulting process id: 0x5b8 Faulting application start time: 0x01cc14cc6e668c40 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Online Armor\oasrv.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll Report Id: b3b83670-80bf-11e0-ad78-005056c00008
  4. Well seems as though OA is periodically crashing and restarting in the background, I have error logs in the Windows 7 Action Center. I think when it crashes and restarts it's enabling the HIPS features because the times of the crashes and when HIPS get enabled coincide. Maybe i'll post the error logs later when I'm on that machine.
  5. Thanks. Just so you know I'm running Win 7 Pro x64 with Avast 6 as my AV. I was wondering if the whitelist was updated as well with automatic updates. As for the HIPS features enabling themselves after I disable them, I have no clue, it's happened twice since I installed ver. 5.0.1097. It never happened with version 4.5. One more issue I forgot to mention, when the HIPS features are enabled they cause an error with VMware player, it won't run and it throws out an error telling me to reinstall VMware. This is how I know when the HIPS features have enabled themselves again and sure enough when I check OA, they're enabled. When I disable them and reboot I can start VMware without issue.
  6. Hi, I noticed version 5.0.1100 is out via automatic updates. Does this apply to the free version as well or only the paid versions? I'm still at 5.0.1097 and I have automatic updates set to check every day. When I click update it says i'm up to date. Just wondering, because if the automatic updates feature is useless in the free version i'll disable it. I figured it did something since it's included in the free version. Another issue, I have the HIPS features disabled. Every once in a while they enable themselves and I have no clue why. Is this a bug or what? Thanks
