  1. well, perhaps it´s because no one understands your post.....
  2. but then it should list C:\program Files (x86) in the log ?
  3. Hi ! Try this: 1. Uninstall Adobe flash player 2. Download adobe flash player from the links below, (32-bit / 64-bit means O/S-version not browser-version, so if you have Windows XP-32, then select the 32bit-version, if you have a 64-bit O/S then select 64-bit even if you are using a 32-bit browser. 3. Run the installer. Adobe Flash Player, direct download links: Internet Explorer 32 bit : http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win /install_flash_player_11_active_x_32bit.exe Internet Explorer 64bit : http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win /install_flash_player_11_active_x_64bit.exe For Other browsers 32bit : http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win /install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe For Other browsers 64bit : http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win /install_flash_player_11_plugin_64bit.exe
  4. are you using the FREE or PREMIUM version of EAM ? was the file guard on before EAM detected the "Happytofind toolbar" ?
  5. yes, that is correct. but, blinkmx didn´t ask if he also needed another antivirus-program, he asked if it was possible to use other antivirus-programs together with EAM.....
  6. Yes, you can use Emsisoft AntiMalware (EAM) together with other antivirus-programs. Personally i´ve been using EAM together with Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) and Avira / Avast for years. But for best performande it´s a good idea to use "mutual exclusions", (tell each program to ignore the others).
  7. Fabian: enstschuldigung, aber was macht dieser draht hier im ENGLICHEN support-forum ? sollte es nicht im DEUTSCHEN support-forum sein....?
  8. if you use "windows update" then of course you get "the original".... it must be safe to install. how do you mean that you could get a "rogue" from Microsoft ??? and i agree, those multiple pop-ups are VERY annoying, personaly i turn off "program shield" when i install software...
  9. it might be a good idea to change that URL to *facebook*.*, just to make sure that you don´t end up on a "fake" FB-webbsite by accident...
  10. it´s an "old" problem... upgrading to a new version has caused problems before. download OA v5.5 from Emsisoft. export all settings to a file uninstall OA v5.1. install OA v5.5 import all settings that you previously saved
  11. that warning is normal when you upgrade, it really is initiated by you, since you are upgrading..... just go ahead and let the program shutdown (and restart...)
  12. oa.cat, oa.hlp, oa.srv, oa.gui those 4 processes is always running, start taskmanager (right-click on the taskbar or start taskmgr.exe) and take a look. anyway, i have been using OA & EAM together for years without any exclusions, and i have never had any problems. now i have those 4 excluded in all my antivirus-programs, just in case.... EAM exclusions in OA: a2service.exe. a2guard.exe, a2start.exe
  13. from Calendar of Updates Calendar of Updates, IP Blocklist for Online Armor: Last Updated: 04 2010 06:21 AM hpHOSTS, IP Blocklist for Online Armor: Thursday December 29th 2011 the hpHosts-file isn´t very old... but if you want a newer HOSTS-file, then i recommend http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm, [Updated January-18-2012] i´m using their HOSTS-file + COU´s IP-blocklist for OA....
  14. yes, since you get a popup, "something" is trying to connect to that website. in your first post above you said: "Everytime i connect to the internet i get a popup..." exactly what do you mean, do you have your browser or any other program running so it opens the connection ? or does it also happens without any program running, when you open a connection "manually" by fx. clicking on the taskbar-icon ? i´m using my own computer now, so i checked where you can change the notifications, it´s under "Guard" →"Surf Protection".
  15. that´s normal.... it takes some time....
  16. if it´s in your "Block list" then it´s normal to get a notification if some program in your computer tries to connect to that website, if your settings are to get notified. you can change your notifications about websites, fx. personally i have "Block silently" for all advertising sites. sorry, but i can´t tell you exactly where those settings are right now, because i´m using another computer at the moment, without EAM.... but i will be using my own laptop in about 30 mins, so i´ll be back a bit later with detailed info.
  17. i suggest that that you also add WinPatrol, www.winpatrol.com, it monitors if a program secretly tries to install something in the background without asking for your permission. Winpatrol is FREE and works without any problem together with EAM, MSE, Comodo, Avira etc. i know, look at my signature...
  18. sorry ! i was too fast to say it was easily fixed, because when you update (definitions) you get a "new" v6update.exe but, i have a few ideas... i´ll be back...
  19. that can be fixed very easy, just rename v6updater.exe to v6updater.ex, then it can´t run...
  20. yes, that is a false positive. one reason for this can perhaps be that McAfee also have security-programs to sell... McAfee siteadvisor cant´t be trusted regarding safe / unsafe websites, i have seen weird recommendations before.... that is the "old" Online-Armor website. but it´s (still) safe to download from. the new "home" for Online-Armor is at Emsisoft.com, so you can also download Online Armor directly from Emsisoft.
  21. Me desculpe, eu não falo português. este é um fórum de Inglês, por favor, tente postar em Inglês. mas a partir de google-translate eu entendo que você não pode atualizar normalmente. exatamente qual versão você está usando? pode haver alguns problemas temporários com os servidores de atualização, que já aconteceu antes. mas apenas Emsisoft pode responder a essa pergunta ... this my answer in english: i´m sorry, i don´t speak portuguese. this is an english forum, so please try to post in english. but from google-translate i understand that you can´t update normally. exactly what version are you using ? there might be some temporary problems with the update-servers, that has happened before. but only Emsisoft can answer that question...
  22. hi ! this is an "old" problem... i have also had this problem, but i can´t remember which OA-version i was using. exactly what OA-version are you using, is it 5.1.1.1395 or some older version ? if i remember correctly the recommended solution is to exclude the Office 2010-folder in OA. it is by default located in "C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Office 2010. there is also an old thread about this problem. have you tried a search on the forum ?
  23. Emsisoft (Fabian Wosar) is sometimes even faster ! I once got an answer in 4 minutes... another time it took 12 minutes, but then it was late in the evening, (after 9 PM !), and we are in the same time zone as far as i know....
