Are there some steps I need to take to shorten the length of time it takes to do an a-squared free scan? It takes hours. Is this normal?

I have Vista OS and found this trace on my Dell computer when I did an a-squared free scan. I also am running McAfee Anti-virus. The virus or whatever will not quarantine and I cannot delete it. Does anybody have an idea what I need to do to clean it off my computer? I have saved the report but don't know what to do with it.
