ShadowPuterDude, Will complete thie next step you outlined tomorrow, as I am not at my PC right now. Wondering: I have Rollback Rx installed, which I have learned installs itself into the boot sector so that it is able to "roll back" the computer to an earlier date before Windows starts up. Could this be what Emsisoft is seeing as a Rootkit? OctoberCrow

When Emisoft Antimalware scanned my computer, it found a rootkit, which could not be quarantined or removed. The program referred me to the Emisoft forum for help in removing this. An extremely knowledgeable tech has been very generous with his time in helping me address removal of this rootkit. As part of the process, I have run and posted to the forum the content of various scans using the programs TDSSkiller, ComboFix, OTL, among others. My question: Is it safe to post this information in a public forum? Would they contain personally identifiable information that could be used to compromis

My Emisoft Antimalware scan shows Heuristic.Possible.MBR.Rootkit!E1. Following that alert is this: Rootkits: \\.\PhysicalDrive0 I have attached the requisite report files. Your help will be IMMENSELY appreciated. Also, if you can tell how this came to be on my computer, I'd really like to be enlightened. OctoberCrow
