  1. Thanks so much for all your help, ShadowPuterDude. You've helped immensely, and I've learned a lot. OctoberCrow
  2. ShadowPuterDude, What is TDLFS? OCrow PS Purchased EAM and Internet Security Pack today! This has been a great experience!
  3. ShadowPuterDude, Will complete thie next step you outlined tomorrow, as I am not at my PC right now. Wondering: I have Rollback Rx installed, which I have learned installs itself into the boot sector so that it is able to "roll back" the computer to an earlier date before Windows starts up. Could this be what Emsisoft is seeing as a Rootkit? OctoberCrow
  4. Here we go... This time OTL did not produce the second log report called Extras.txt. Tried twice, but it did not come up either time and it is not in the OTL file on my C drive. OctoberCrow
  5. ShadowPuterDude, Followed the last set of instructions, and attached is the OTL log file. The computer is running well, though I have not re-run EAM to see if the rootkit is gone. I will await your next instructions. Gratefully, OctoberCrow
  6. Will do this today, ShadowPuterDude, and post back tonight. Thanks, OctoberCrow
  7. When Emisoft Antimalware scanned my computer, it found a rootkit, which could not be quarantined or removed. The program referred me to the Emisoft forum for help in removing this. An extremely knowledgeable tech has been very generous with his time in helping me address removal of this rootkit. As part of the process, I have run and posted to the forum the content of various scans using the programs TDSSkiller, ComboFix, OTL, among others. My question: Is it safe to post this information in a public forum? Would they contain personally identifiable information that could be used to compromis
  8. ComboFix report attached. Everything seems to be running fine, but I have not re-run Emisoft Anti-Malware to see if the original problem (Heuristic.Possible.MBR.Rootkit!E1) has disappeared after ComboFix. Shall I do so now? Thanks, OctoberCrow
  9. ShadowPuterDude, Here is the screenshot you requested. Thanks for your continuing assistance, Octobercrow
  10. My Emisoft Antimalware scan shows Heuristic.Possible.MBR.Rootkit!E1. Following that alert is this: Rootkits: \\.\PhysicalDrive0 I have attached the requisite report files. Your help will be IMMENSELY appreciated. Also, if you can tell how this came to be on my computer, I'd really like to be enlightened. OctoberCrow
