  1. Hi Emsi Team, I really wasn't sure whether to send you an email or to post this support request on your forum. Anyway, two days ago EAM reported that it couldn't start and to get in touch with support. I had a go at fixing it myself, and I did actually fix it, but now I'm not sure if I did. As to what might have caused the original issue. Well my function keys/ hot keys on my Thinkpad were playing up I think, one of the Lenovo assigned keys wasn't doing it's job. This caused me to run a System Restore. It was after the SR that EAM reported that it couldn't start. Sorry if that was long-w
  2. Hi there, Rather than start up a new thread on the same subject I hope its OK to jump in I have exactly the same problem as vilaslexx, I just purchased EAM, and FILE GUARD wont stay activated. It is off, and each time I click on it, it goes off again just as vilaslexx describes. Is there some other setting that is blocking it?? Many thanks, Chigwells
  3. Okay, so I had to uninstall Mamutu as it was causing OS to crash. When you say, "That should work fairly well..." do you think I could improve on this? BTW, I also make good use of WOT
  4. Hi Arthur, thanks for that. Just to be sure I understand you: EAM can be my sole Anti-virus and Anti-Malware product EAM can also run together with conventional Anti-Virus products such as Avira Antivir etc etc? That is really interesting as I always understood you can only run one AV. That raises an interesting question, would EAM together with a third party AV be more successful at detection than just EAM. As I have just purchased Mamutu, I think now I will replace it with EAM. How does this sound as a line of defence: On my new machine I was going to run Microsoft Security Essentials
  5. Hi there, I purchased Mamutu but have been advised EAM might be more suitable for my needs. As I researched EAM I've been unclear about one issue, is EAM also a full blown anti-virus? I recently moved to W7 Home Premium from XPpro 32. Do I just install EAM or does it work alongside an AV, as more traditional anti-malware products have done? Many thanks, Chigwells
  6. Thank you both for your responses I am thinking about Internet Security Pack 6.0 or Emsisoft Anti-Malware, thanks for the kind offer Fabian Will have a think about my options over the weekend, either way, I am very happy with Emsisoft products Chigwells
  7. Hi there, Please can someone clarify to me what I have just done / what I am doing. For some years I have had Win XP pro with Comodo free firewall, Avira Antivir, Emsisoft Anti-Malware Free, Sandboxie, SAS and MBam (both free versions, for weekly scans etc), with WinPatrol and SpywareBlaster. I have been very comfortable with this combo. Just this month I got a new Win7 64bit system and have spent the past week or more getting to grips with it. It came pre-installed with McAfee Suite with two months worth of AV, and windows Defender. Towards the end of the trial I'm planning to move over to
