  2. Email sent to Emsisoft as follows: Nov 24, 2013 To Emsisoft, The question of whether there had been any recent update for OA is very much essential as that was what started the whole problem for me recently. That is, that my installation of OA that I was already running on my PC for several months and was not out of date, should not have given me indication or prompt to do an update when there has not been any. This is what made the question a necessarily essential point in my issue, and also why it should not have been ignored and left without an honest reply, as did occur. There has been no recent update to OA, so when I was prompted for that, it was faulty, and it was unavoidably, and undeniably, an integral part of this problem deserving reply. I asked that essential question that is part and parcel of the issue I am trying to deal with. But everybody failed to give an honest answer, because nobody did give an honest answer. I have to struggle hard trying to imagine whether anyone at Emsisoft has the integrity to acknowledge valid points, and the willingness to recognize them, and to respond as well. I also have to struggle to try to imagine if anyone at Emsisoft cares to try to understand the valid point clearly made. I was prompted to update an existing installation of OA that was not out of date. I was prompted to do an update when there was no update occurring for OA now. When I was prompted to do this recent update for OA that was incorrect and not in order, there is something wrong with that that actually is the problem that made the rest happen. There has been no such update recently for OA. When I asked about that nobody wanted to answer. Wrong. Everyone has failed to answer it as if it is merely their prerogative to ignore anything they want to ignore. Wrong. If you do not understand this yet, or do not wish to reply with a semblance of integrity, you need to be replaced. http://support.emsisoft.com/topic/12990-oa-multiple-consecutive-installs-and-restarts-with-same-prompt-appearing/ Thank you. Sincerely, Lawrence
  3. I will seek my help from email and answer desk or help desk to my ticket and via email as it is frustrating dealing with people here who are seemingly deliberately avoiding to answer very directly given questions and being obtuse and obfuscating with refusals to recognize and acknowledge issues clearly presented that are involved in this. Basically almost being evasive and dishonest by a failure to give a ready able to be given honest reply here. I am seeking my help from my submitted ticket and via help desk email as people here do not want to be straightforward. Thank you. Bye.
  4. Do you know this was not an original issue of my doing an original install now? This issue is a supposed update that has now rendered my OA unusable at present. It is an issue where I was prompted to do an update where no such update exists at all. There has been no recent update for Online Armor and I asked that with a failure to reply. I already have been running Online Armor a long time, my PC update in mid October. See? And when I asked if there had been any recent update requiring my original recent prompts for it, a direct and honest response to that essential question was in order, but nobody wanted to say so.
  5. Do you understand that I already had been running Online Armor version 7.0.0.1866 on Windows 7 SP1 64bit for a long time and this was really not any original issue of my doing an original install now? It is an issue where I was prompted to do an update where no such update exists at all. I can very sure that was already very clear.
  6. Yes, I did confirm the autoruns, but the whole process does not "take" and whatever way I do it, it all will be repeated again as if not completed at all before, every new retsrat I do again, even after following through with responding to the prompts, ether way, whether doing the update as quick as it first appears, or not doing that and waiting for initialization to complete and also resetting the settings including restoring from my backup of the settings, I have done all these all ways many times, and it does not, "take", and keeps repeating anew as if not done even once yet. The obvious answer is that there was no recent update that started this whole process with me in the first place of what I started to get as the prompts for an updated version being downloaded and ready to install in the first place as shown previously. The answer not given to me but what I am saying seems to be the only sensible correct answer I can see so far for myself, is that, NO, there really was no need for the apparent update to a new version, since there appears to be no newer version very recently. I am a bit miffed nobody was willing to give a straightforward answer to that.
  7. As is plainly evident, the current version of Online Armor is Version 7.0.0.1866 which was released on: 10/15/2013 What would have been helpful, and even more basically, merely honest, is a willingness to truthfully answer this the right way, which did not happen. http://changeblog.emsisoft.com/?s=online+armor Emsisoft Online Armor 7.0.0.1866 released! http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/oa/ Version 7.0.0.1866 Runs On: Win XP, Vista, 7 & 8 Released: 10/15/2013 http://s1.bild.me/bilder/260513/6601339v1.png http://s1.bild.me/bilder/260513/7426330v2.png http://s1.bild.me/bilder/260513/5115123v3.png So, an essential question which was unanswered remains the same as given before, and received silence as the failure to reply: Has there been a product update recently to a new version of Online Armor which would require such an update and/or reinstall? Has there been a new version of Online Armor in the past few days? Yes? Or No? Thank you. Understand? Please reply? Thank you. Lawrence
  8. What appears to be occurring here is a refusal to be open regarding the version history of online armor at least as to any response and acknowledgement to me?
  9. Is there a knowing and correct and sensible answer to #8 and #9, please? Thanks.
  10. Alright. Yes, that is correct. Thanks for the edit, as is proper and appropriate. My mistake, I apologize for. Thanks again.
  11. If no one else is updating, or has to update to any new version, like, there may NOT be any new version, then that is an obvious problem in itself. Right? Got it? If there is a new version in the past few days requiring such an update by way of this notification to reinstall and so on as already shown, then at least that's OK.
  12. I would like at least this one answer at a minimum. Has there been a product update recently to a new version of Online Armor which would require such an update and/or reinstall? Has there been a new version of Online Armor in the past few days? Yes? Or No? Thank you.
  13. Hello again, Arthur, Did the fresh install. No good so far. I am stuck in a different endless loop now. It is now installing, then before finishing initialization, saying there is an update, I have done both stopping the initialization to "update", and also, not done that to finish the initialization, either way, the next time into windows, it does it again. Thank you very much. http://support.emsisoft.com/topic/12990-oa-multiple-consecutive-installs-and-restarts-with-same-prompt-appearing/
