  1. Now the problem is back again. I can do a "custom scan" but not a "quick scan" or a "deep scan" The attached pic. shows what happens when I try to do things.
  2. My apologies for not replying earlier - but I have been working away from home. Since my latest reinstall I have had no problems. I would like to leave this case open until the end of the year, so that if I have another problem I can instantly publish the symptoms. Thank youn for your time
  3. Sorry - couldn't find any files with the .ELF extention
  4. I have been using this programme for nearly two years without any problems till just recently. The problem is divided into two parts. first it stopped working correctly by carrying out a full scan extremely quickly: Emsisoft Anti-Malware - Version 6.0 Last update: 07/12/2011 03:47:32 Scan settings: Scan type: Deep Scan Objects: Rootkits, Memory, Traces, C:\, H:\ Scan archives: On ADS Scan: On Scan start: 07/12/2011 03:55:34 Scanned 1 Found 0 Scan end: 07/12/2011 03:55:35 Scan time: 0:00:01 Then I would discover that it was un-registering itself and reverting back to a position as if I had just installed it. I would then re-install the programme and it would work correctly for a short period and then the whole cycle would start again. I find this very irritating as this is a good programme which I use continually. Can anyone help please
  5. Just ran the latest update - It didn't work ! Programme froze at 50% on a quick scan and 40% on a deep scan. I had to uninstall the programme, clean my system and re-install the programme to get it to work. This comment is just for information :-)
  6. Thank you for those suggestions - I shall do as you recommend
  7. Good morning, I have an interesting problem which may become irritating in the future. I download a file/folder from the Internet - Emsisoft Anti-Malware says it is infected and takes it off my system. 24 hours later I get a pop-up message will tells me that "after re-evaluating the item" it has discovered that it is safe and would I like it put back from where it came from. I say "Yes Please" and back the file/folder is put. I open it and immediately Emsisoft Anti-Malware says it is infected and removes it from my system. Then 24 hours later I get the "re-evaluation" message again - then the cycle continues - lol. I would love a comment on this situation. Thank you for your time :-)
  8. Thank you for that good information :-)
  9. Good morning - I don't even know if this is the correct forum for my problem - apologies if it isn't. I have just started using Emsisoft Anti-Malware. I need to know how to stop an irritaing pop-up which appears in the lower right hand corner of my screen. This tells me that the programme has blocked a tracking cookie called "doubleclick.net" I am pleased that the programme is blocking this cookie - but I have no wish to be informed everytime it does so. It happens every few minutes no matter which website I am visiting. I would be grateful if someone could tell me how I stop the programme telling me. Thank you for your time.
