    It could have been blocking the CDN we use, or possibly Cloudflare (which we protect our servers with). If you run in to any problems like this in the future, we do have a tool that creates a diagnostic log which can be used by our support team to get a general idea of what's where an issue may be occurring.

    Google tells me that a feature of some/all Deco models is that it has built-in antivirus and scans all of your network's incoming and outgoing traffic.   


    It was a parental control. You can put filters on devices. I was just testing this a while ago. I forgot about it. And apparently I had some parental control attached to my pc instead of another device. When I deleted this everything worked fine again. I did this within the app and the app itself didn't give info about what it is blocking. So I have to figure this out before using this again.

  3. Hi, I tried everything and there was an error: service registration. But it didn't fix the problem. I was thinking and thinking and finally I got an idea. I have a new TP Link Deco. And there was a profile on it attached to my pc instead of another device. This profile apparently block some downloads. Windows update came throught, but security updates didn't. OMG took me a long time to realise this. But I'm glad it works again. Installed the new version of Emsisoft and updates we're downing fast. Thank you for your willingness to help me! Happy NY!

  4. Het was een conflict tussen Emsisoft en McAfee, beiden pakketten gingen niet samen. Elk apart draait zonder problemen. Via de Engelstalige kant kreeg ik al extra tips, maar via mcAfee werd geen oplossing aangeboden. Ik heb gekizen McAfee te deinstalleren en Emsisoft te blijven gebruiken. Helaas heb ik al wel voor McAfee betaald tot feb 2016. Na 30 minuten aan de tel met McAfee kreeg ik eindelijk bericht dat er een refund zou plaatsvinden. Ik zou binnen drie uur worden teruggebeld, wat niet gebeurde. Helaas dat t zo moet gaan, maar het probleem is in elk geval opgelost. Blijft alleen de vraag over of ik naast EIS nog andere software nodig heb om me optimaal te beschermen tegen virussen malware en andere 'aanvallen'. Tips zijn welkom

  5. It's working fine with just Emsisoft or just McAfee. McAfee said I needed to choose, they offered no solution. I was on the phone for 30 minutes and chose Emsisoft, but I have paid for both software packagese. So I wanted a refund. They said they would arrange that after the long talk we had. They said they call me back, they didn't. I like this forum, most of you are answering quickly and helping out. That's why I choose to stay with Emsi. Do you have other software recommendation next to EIS? Cause I want my pc to be secure and safe. Thnx so far
