  1. Thanks for your help, I was able to run the scan, a pretty sizable accomplishment considering my level of expertise.
  2. Thanks Rob, I'll try using the 'extract' option and see if I'm successful.
  3. No, I didn't extract files, I clicked the run option on both prompts, this maybe the problem? Is there any particular folder to place these files?
  4. I am not a computer expert so a little patience maybe necessary. I believe I have successfully downloaded the free Emsisoft emergency Kit, it's an icon on my desktop. When I double click the icon I get the program options page, autorun, run, start etc. I click Emsisoft Emergency Kit option and get a pop-up, 'Windows cannot find a2emergencykitexe. please make sure you typed the name correctly.' As I recall I have in the past successfully gotten to the scan using this procedure.
