  2. Just recently, whenever I click on any kind of link, I get this aol ad popup. How do I remove it? I have windows 7 home edition. Thanks.
  3. Thank you very much for your quick reply and I just did it. Best regards, Frogholler
  4. Hello, I just ran my scan and read the logs and I see this and was wondering if it meant that the scan is not looking for PUPs and if so, can I set it up so that the scan will detect them and remove? Detect PUPs: Off Scan archives: On ADS Scan: On File extension filter: Off Advanced caching: On Direct disk access: Off
  5. Sure hope I did this right. I am a real nerd when it comes to this kind of maneuver.
  6. I thought I had sent this reply this morning but just in case it didn't go through,I want to thank you again for all the info you have relayed to me and I am printing it off for future reference. I ran another scan last night and again this A,M, and the 5 infections have disappeared. This happened I guess after I installed and ran the ADwCleaner program. I didn't do anything different. In any event, they are gone for which I am thankful. Thanks again. Sincerely, frogoller
  7. I don't have administrator rights to put the logs onto the desk top even tho my name is listed as administrator. and I have no idea how to get permission to do it. Thank you for your time. I appreciate you trying to help. Wish you could just help me by remote instead as I'm very ignorant about using programs and moving and saving files here and there.
  8. I wasn't able to locate the log as I am not very familiar with saving files, etc. so hopefully, the copy and paste will work. Meanwhile, I'll keep trying to locate it. Thank you.
