  1. Didn't pick that up when I read your post. Good point. Actually having Disable for both the 'Pause' option and the 'Protection Status' is confusing. It should say Pause for 10 minutes etc.
  2. Just guessing here Marko, but that is how I would expect it to behave. A new Windows session starts everything over again ?
  3. If you are using Windows 7 please make sure you are using the latest .Net Framework update. https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework
  4. Does the same thing happen if you re-enable Windows Defender through the Group Policy Editor and restart your machine?
  5. No issues here so far. Were there any specific tweaks and fixes to watch out for? (Or just boring stuff )
  6. You say EAM has no issue with this file, did you ask McAfee why they flagged it? Perhaps just change your passwords anyway and it will set your mind at rest as you say that is what concerns you.

  9. Jeremy the issue I am posting is about the information in the help file which is obsolete when accessessed via the GUI question mark symbol.. If you wish to bring up a different issue about no access to it if you are offline please start a new thread.
  10. The question mark is built in to the GUI and that is what users will click on. Whether it is online or not is immaterial.
  11. From the GUI click the ? for the help file. Behavior Blocker and Anti-Ransomware section. Lookup online doesn't exist anymore. 'Comprehensive guide' link at bottom leads to a page which says 'Security solutions that do not suck' Not a very professional webpage headline.. Comprehensive guide talks about green ticks in BB..they no longer exist. Comprehensive guide shows how to use the 'lookup online' with a nice screenie. Non existent now. File Guard Comprehensive guide contains a section on how to ''Only scan files with specific extensions'' Non existent now. Just a few things I noticed in the built in help file.

  14. Not happened since. I check every morning after a cold boot. Was this of any interest to you Frank? Or was it just one of those 'race' events?
  15. Attach the FRST.txt and Addition.txt files in a post. The fix.txt will be written for you by GT500 if he finds something wrong in your logs.

  17. What screen size scaling do you have for your machine? Also what is your display resolution. Default, 125% or bigger? (Start ..settings..display... scale and layout.) Are you using Windows 10?
  18. Can you give a bit more info such as your operating system, screen size, and build of EAM.
  19. First time it's happened to me marko. It would be nice if EAM gave some indication that it had not registered in WSC and that Defender was doing scans and downloading definitions.
  20. Yes it is, but EAM says I am protected by EAM I may do a few unticks and reticks and a reboot as well. EDIT.. Unticking and reticking the Windows Security Center integration in EAM advanced settings has restored EAM as the provider.
  21. Today at boot I got the Windows notification sound. It was Defender telling me it had cleaned 5 items (they will be eicar) It does not say when this 'clean' occurred. There is nothing in Defender history or quarantine. I have the latest cumulative for Win 10 2004 installed (now on build 19041.388) It is not possible to work out when this happened or what they found. Going here to show latest Defender info doesn't help, I mean some of the entries there are strange. but perhaps as a result of the Cumulative?
