  1. I am posting this from my Win 2004 machine with EAM installed. I even installed 2004 with EAM running. It was done from an iso as a upgrade. No problems at all for me.
  2. No problem here with new 2004 and EAM. If you open Windows Security shield from the taskbar icon and then click on Virus and protection what does it say? Also have you done a full restart of your machine since the 2004 update?

  5. Jason if you open Windows Task Manager and click on the details tab at the top, what does the CPU usage for a2start, a2service and a2guard say? What build of Windows are you using?

  12. At least we know it's Windows 7 now 😀 I meant what kind of user account you were using.. administrator? Anyway it may not matter know we know it's Windows 7. Have you used your Emsisoft account to move your key from Win 10 to Win 7 ? Or do you mean you have bought another key?
  13. Just in case.. you aren't trying to install it in a limited user account are you? Make sure in Settings..Apps and Features that you have selected to install Apps from anywhere (top option drop down box.)
  14. Looks like you will have to wait for Admin support on forum (probably GT500) I'm sure it will get sorted though.
  15. Does opening EAM up then looking at main page at bottom where it says 'License ends' show the days that you think you have now? Also click on Details opposite it to see what you license is. Remember to do a manual update which should then give you a popup saying about the licence extension now.
  16. Win 10 via manual update from previous beta. All seems ok (scans etc)
  17. Update went well and all seems ok. Did you know Frank that if you forget a scan is running in tray, and you do a context menu sca, the cursor freezes a bit while it has a think and then just carries on as if you hadn't asked it to do that 😀

  19. If I didn't restart my PC for weeks then someone would be able to see that I scanned a folder called ''stapp's night out with a strange man' before I removed the folder.
  20. Updated manually on Win 10 1909. Whenever I do a right-click scan with EAM on something on my desktop for example, a separate entry for a2start appears in the logs folder (ProgramData) Why is that? If I have a folder and do a context menu scan on it, it automatically gets stored in the custom scan settings and will stay there until I do another context menu scan on a different item. It will then replace the previous item in the custom scan settings. Why is that? I do understand that context menu and custom scans are the same, but right-click scan with EAM tend to be one offs, and so I don't see why they should be stored as a custom scan entry in the GUI.
  21. Perhaps a try of booting into Windows safe mode and seeing if you can move things along that way?
  22. Is there an EAM icon in the taskbar? If there is, try right-clicking on it and select 'shut down protection'
  23. Jeremy is not in a 'situation' and needs no wake up call. Please don't assume things about people. He is a valued forum member and tester who donates his time to helping Emsisoft and therefore others members and users.
