  1. Yes, and they are still available. And on my screen, all this is at the far right hand side all of a sudden Just thought I would let you know LOL.
  2. My appologies for being impatient Since I retired, every day is a weekend lol. Have I got this right? From the replies, it seems like "Keep me logged in" is the culprit? If so, that didn't used to happen in days gone by. I will be more patient. I will be more patient. I will be more patient. I will be more patient.
  3. So, no input as to why I can access those email addresses in banking mode????
  4. Posted in the other thread about banking mode not working "At one time it was only possible to access the specific bank in the days of Emu. When did that change and why, with the exceptions noted above. In banking mode I can now access email addresses at Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail. Surely this should not be possible, especially with the dubious security reputations of these places." When I first started with OA free in the days of Tall Emu (around '07 I think), only my specific bank site was accessible when banking mode was engaged. The "specific bank" I mentioned in the other post was intended to mean - the bank of the user at that time, who ever it might be. Sorry poor wording. catprincess posted - " None of the domains you listed are accessible here in Banking Mode. If your AV uses a proxy and you've excluded this AV in OA, this behaviour would be expected as mentioned in the known issues thread. If that isn't the case for you, please feel free to start your own thread so your particular issue can be investigated further" My AV is Avast free (latest edition) and is NOT in the exclusions list for the specific reason that is given in the known issues. Domains list is not ignored. One of OA's original claims was that it could be used by the "mums and dads" with ease, and I am one of those "dads" with little or no technical knowledge or expertise, hence my choice of OA in the first place. I have not knowingly set anything to allow those email sites to be accessed in banking mode.

  6. Doesn't that mean that Banking Mode won't work? http://support.emsisoft.com/topic/5208-known-online-armor-issues/page__p__31544#entry31544
  7. Mmm, well I'm updated to 5.1 now, so maybe things will be smooth running now.
  8. Will do for sure Nick, follow-up is important imo.
  9. I have only just noticed that my last post at the end on this thread disappeared. I wrote that since starting the thread the issue had gone (just like toothache after you make an appointment to go to the dentist) and that I would bookmark this thread so I can follow the advice kindly given above, should it return in the future. I also thanked the Nick and catprincess for their patience with my lack of tech savvy. Here's hoping this post sticks.
  10. With my lack of technical knowledge, how do I assess the effect(s) on Banking Mode please? What do I have to look for?
  11. Before I do either of those suggestions, will Banking Mode still work under those circumstances?
  12. OAP keeps asking about Avast free, and won't remember the settings. I'm not going to exclude Avast because that negates the Banking Mode facility (as per the "Known OA Issues" thread), and I want to keep that facility - it's a pretty important one. Is anything being done to get OAP to remember settings?
  13. It has always been on the tray for me, since I first had the free version years ago.
  14. Yes, it buggered up my Favourites links completely and had to start again. "Because we care about you" ???
  15. Ok, thanks mate. A thought for Emsisoft though - I only found out how to renew from a members being pointed in the right direction (web link) despite much searching of my own. A "sticky" would be helpful for dumbos like me.
  16. In the log in screen to renew a licence, is the password the same one as used here, or is a new registration needed?
  17. I'm not sure what you mean by that cat princess. From memory it was something to do with Avast AV.
  18. The other day a OA Premium pop-up advised me that it had blocked a deleted .exe, that is if a greyed out line still means it has been deleted.
  19. That's the theory anyway. In spite of running the Safety Wizard, I'm still getting pop-ups about things that I have apparently "fixed"
  20. I have been having a similar issue, - OA doesn't recognise Awill's Avast as a trustable program??? Seems odd to me that it doesn't.
  21. Once again, thanks catprincess. I guess I paniced because I thought that in previous versions there was an "Unknown" category. Seeing them all Trusted worried my non tech mind
  22. I have just been updated to v5.0.0.110 a few days ago. For some reason that I can't remember, I looked at the web domains list. I saw that every one (other than the ones I have blocked or protected) was set to "Trusted" Should they all be set to trusted? I seems that the choices are limited to Protect; Block; Add; Edit or delete. Many of the names are a mystery to me, so I don't know what to do about it. No way of not trusting them, or am I missing something
  23. Yes catprincess, and issue now sorted thanks.
