After reinstall of anti-malware, I can no longer go into Task Manager to remove "a2guard.exe" ("access denied"). I also don't want real time protection. How to revert to correct settings without real time protection?

It seems one can choose entire drives but not remove individual folders. Thus, one has to add, say 21 of 23 folders on a drive. Is there a more efficient method of just removing the few folders on a drive that should not be scanned?
