  1. When downloading a file from a website chrome instantly closes when the download finishes. Seems like te problem is most of the time zip files. But when I tried downloading chrome again it did crash also.

    Dont know if Emsisoft causes the problem. But sometime after a crash of chrome and starting chrome it says the message Emsisoft not compatible......

     

    A customer has the same problem but doesn't download. After a while it seems chrome just closes automaticaly.

    I use latest BETA version, customer uses stable

     

    EDIT: Seems like explorer has the same problem. The file i tried is coming from https://vergecurrency.com, Chrome and explorer crashes after downloading Windows Tor QT Wallet

  2. I saw after the update the scan performance has improved. It changed its default scan level. Now it is set to fast and when I ran some EICAR test files it didn't detect 7 out of 8. After setting de default option to balanced again it detected al 8.

    I was thinking that this could be the case of the new scan level, but also when you open the EICAR files it didn't detect any.

    Is this normal?

    I noticed the same thing before. I am trying to reproduce the problem again but after happening it didn't happen again. 

    I will send DB logs if I can

  4. Are there any plans of introducing an anti-malware for Mac in the near future? I'm very curious.

    We see more and more interest of our customers that are demanding a good mac protection software. Now we deliver Emsisoft for Windows but we can't for MAC OS. 

    By canceling development of EIS is there now more of a possibility for a new product?

    We are experiencing the same problems with our customers last week. All systems are Windows 10 and have Emsisoft Anti-Malware. Turning off fast Boot will help some times. 

    If Emsisoft support need more logs I can find them. I really think this problem is not related to Windows 10 because I receive a lot of messages of our customers with Emsisoft that have the "doesn't shutdown completely" problem. But we do not see/hear problems of customers that don't use Emsisoft.

    I had some customers that had the same message today. All problems were fixed by using the following steps.

    1. Right-click on the Start button.
    2. Go to Shut down or sign out.
    3. Select Restart from the list.

    I hope we see an update soon for customers that didn't got the message yet.

    Beta updates seems stable on my systems and updatet without problems.
