  1. Hi Kevin, I don't think that you saw the right AVZ log as the scan reported 3 malicious entries. Meanwhile, the latest RK scan has picked up on 3 bad registry keys. I would like to finally get this wrapped up this weekend either by resetting Windows or by a fix you come up with. I realize there's only enough time for you to reply once a day but I've been dealing with this for far too long (started in late January) and I've tried to be patient all the way through, not only with you but everybody else I've dealt with along the way.You should have enough info and log files there to help me
  2. Kevin, Here are the 2 files in the log folder but I cant upload virusinfo_syscheck.htm as the forum won't allow me to. Rick virusinfo_syscheck.xml virusinfo_syscheck.zip
  3. Hi Kevin, Here's the TDDSKiller report-no threats found. I discovered that I had already used this removal tool before because there's a generated report from that scan done on 2/1 and I've attached that as well. 4. Kevin, No I initially noticed the hijacker in Opera and then it spread to Firefox but Firefox became unusable due to some flash problem I couldn't fix so'after totally uninstalling it, and Opera as well (one of my many previous efforts) then reinstallied both. But only Opera works halfway decent so it's my sole browser now. Rick
  5. Kevin, I'm pretty much out of patience, not necessarily with you, but with this effin hijacker! After I deleted all of the malware found on RK, I shut down my computer for a few hours and when I came back and opened Opera and after a few minutes, low and behold, the hijacker was back-like it never left! I've been dealing with this for the past 6-7 weeks and nothing is providing anything more than 4 days of relief. I'm very close to just reseting Windows and finally being done with it. By the way, after I deleted everything on RougeKiller, the log file was not saved to my desktop. I saw the
  6. Kevin, I just ran RougeKiller and the log is attached. Rick log.txt
  7. Hi Kevin, Well I followed all of your instructions, so all I think there's left to do is wait and see if this thing is truly gone for good. For the record, I already had tried AdwCleaner and Junkware Removal during the course of this ordeal. I even ran them multiple times over the past 6 weeks. One question: do I have to be concerned about any damage to Windows or any other software that was done by this hijacker? Rick AdwCleanerC1.txt JRT.txt Fixlog.txt
  8. Hello, I was infected by malware about 6 weeks ago. After trying numerous programs and a fruitless round of Customer No-Service from Malwarebyes, this insipid piece of evil refuses to stay away once and for all! I thought for the past few days that I may have finally got it out of my hair. I started a trial run of Emsisoft's Anti-Malware and performed a malware scan right away (Those scan results are included in the attachments). It did indeed find the hijacker and I quarantined it-and it's still sitting there. After that, I had no problems at all. But then came today and so I'm back
