Malwarebytes just did the same thing. Had to get a registry hack to see/change one setting and then revert to the origional
screen resolution as everything was too small on a 10" netbook.
-
If you purchased an extension with your origional license, the new expiration date will be automatically updated. I don't have EMSI on this computer, but look at the expiration date under license in the tab.

All security progras are excluded from each other. My netbooks run Outpost Security Suite, MB and Superantispyware realtime protection.
On my Win 8 desktops, I also have Emisoft Antimalware. Never noticed any problems.
-
Each program does not use the same definations. So each will look at something in a differant way.
No program is perfect by itself.
-
You could manually add a file in applications and change permissions. I think ?

I was talking about other programs starting to include updates for Windows 8 in this case. From experience I know when programs started to include Windows 7 and running XP was a real pain. I guess you could all it backwards compatibly getting screwed up.
Haven't had a error since reinstalling.
-
Yes.
Outpost Security Suite
Malwarebytes
Superantispyware.
All running
Been running them for a long time without any problem until this error message. Been ok so far after reinstall. Another Win 7 64 bit with same programs has not had an error.
Don't know if Version 7 is starting to include Windows 8, but I remember all the problems with the updates with XP to Windows 7.
-
I did a reinstall. Maybe the ver. 7 update had a problem.
-
Not very often, but still a problem.
"Application can't connect to service"
Nothing in event log. Have to do a hard reset, won't reboot normally.
Version 7.0.0.10 Windows 7 64 bit.
Any ideas except for reinstall ?
Thanks

Which is the Malicious Software Removal Tool. Every time there is a Windows Update I get a popup about about this file. I have tried to add it manually to the applications list and I can't. When I try Windows\System32 the file doesn't show up. The file shows with Windows Explorer, but not with Anti-Malware.
Is there a way I can add an ignore rule and have it work ?

In the host rules, this host is being blocked (i modified rule)
It's a email server through Go Daddy and should not be blocked.

I got this stable version of 5.0.0.68 yesterday because i had to restart computer. Here is the question version 5.0.0.68. Now regular updates you don't have to restart computer. Everytime i just had to do it again but it is still the same i should not have to restart computer i understand when it is a new version but there was not one.
I just posted about the same thing and I've had 5.0.0.68 for a few days.

ver. 5.0.0.68 on Win 7
For the last few days, after update not every time, I am asked to restart computer.
I don't notice any problems
Anyone else getting same thing ?

So performance is back to normal now?
Yes

You may want to switch the File Guard to "Scan only programs before they are executed". That way EAM behaves like the previous version. In addition you can reduce the footprint further by activating the "Scan only files with the following extension" check box and removing the .DLL extension from the list.
If both doesn't help please try to keep the File Guard on and deactivate the Behavior Blocker and Surf Protection and see if that helps.
I changed to scan on execution and that was it. With the other two my netbook was faster LOL !!
Adding file to the white list could take weeks.

Updated this morning and my 3 gig machine slowed really bad. Running apps and Firefox going to sites. I run Outpost Security Suite and Malwarebytes OR Superantispyware. Shut down A-squared and back to normal.
Any ideas for A-squared settings as it seems to be at it's default settings.
Thanks

It was caused by a2mor.dll in my c:\temp\a2 update folder. Maybe Outpost Security Suite did not like a dll in the temp folder. The dll scans ok in the A2 directory. I disabled OSS to install the update. The update had the same reaction as icefire did.

My Toshiba 10" doesn't go above 600 and that is the problem. My Asus 10" does.
