  1. Thank you for your answer! My expectation would have been that EAM would perform better than BD, having Bitdefender engine plus an "in house" engine, plus Mamutu, the best behavior blocker on the market.
  2. Hi, From what we know, EMSI uses two engines (Bitdefender+ in house one) and the famous behavior blocker Mamutu. However, on latest AV Comparatives (Nov) Bitdefender scored 100% and EMSI 99.2%. If they use the same engine , why the difference????
  3. "Technically" you are correct. On the other side , if you ask the same question on all antiviruses forums, you will get the same answer: our antivirus is the best and will catch everything, you do not need a layered protection. I recently tested MBAM Ransomware shield only, against Wanacry, and MBAM behavior blocker blocked Wanacry after 4 files being encrypted. So seems to be working. And don't forget: EMSI behavior shield (aka Mamutu) requires user decision. In Jan to Jun AV Comparatives the user dependent portion of EMSI was 6.4%. At one point, the user will made a mistake and allow something.
  4. Not a big issue, however , among all icons in the tray bar , Emsisoft is the most anemic and unexpressive one, with a poor choice of green on blue OR grey on blue, and small size. Most of default task bars are blue. Look at Avira, Bitdefender....
  5. 6.5% is from behavior blocker (former Mamutu) , so 93.2 % is strictly signature based; how this can be lower than BitDefender, if relies on the same signatures?
  6. If Emsisoft uses Bitdefender engine, why the detection rate is so different? May 2017: BitDefender: 99.7% with 1FP Emsisoft 93.2% + 6.5% user dependent ( from your own behavior module) with 7FP
  7. Emsisoft performance for April 2017 is 92.7 % with "user dependent" 7.1%, in AV Comparatives. MSE (free) scored 99.3% with 0% "user dependent" Any explanation????
  8. Emsisoft performance for April 2017 is 92.7 % with "user dependent" 7.1%, in AV Comparatives. MSE (free) scored 99.3% with 0% "user dependent" I wouldn't call this "we're pretty much in the leading group of available protection solutions"
