    Hitman Pro Alert vs. Emsisoft

First let me sate that i am not a employee of emsisoft just a community member you shouldn't have more than one Antivirus installed at the time on a system EAM already has all necessary protective components besides this any other av software may have have kernel-mode drivers installed that could cause conflict with the other installed Antivirus products, leading to system instability. Therefore, I suggest you uninstall of your Antivirus and leave only one installed (logically, it would be the one you are currently paying for). i would suggest dropping hitman pro alert to avoid any further conflicts https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/407147/answers-to-common-security-questions-best-practices/#entry2316629

so my take away is my emsisoft is good for license management and adding removing devices everyone should use it now current integration is very poor and unclear it should have nothing to to with subscription email newsletters the sign up link is non exist unless refers to by staff

so for folks with the same question as us apparently the following link is the sign up here https://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/account/ given to me by support we really should make it clear also myemsisoft appears to useful for licence key management for instance If i had not logged i would not have known that i had used my key all 3 times for one PC because of reinstall i was able to clear them

i did as advised and reinstalled EAM but should i be concerned that it seems to only be downloadung a few kb per hour and that it doest seem to display the signature amounts anymore like before it used to say signatures updated your now protected with x number of signatures now it just says software updated all the time

CLOSED cmd flash at start up

I do not this laptop uses Intel hf graphics i do however use classic shell start menu if that matters?
  19. Yes well all I am wishing for is that someone can can provide a sample of this do it can be analyzed and EAM can block and or removed so manual removal is not necessary being that this seems to be "new" it seems all the more important this sees armature right now but BC gave credit to a security researcher whose own blog seems to hit that in may contain a key logger and second payload so it would be great if someone could look into this that would be great this may have been a test run for something larger and im a subscriber myself so i do worry
  20. The incident is detailed here on bleeping i do not have a sample unfortunately but this needs detecting blocking and if possible https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/popular-anime-site-crunchyroll-com-hijacked-to-distribute-malware/
  21. That is not a very sound argument at all while it is true common sense can save you most of the time even the most experienced user can make a misjudgment if the attack vector is presented in a certain way and it does not mean we shouldn't do our best to analyze detect block or remove such a threat
  22. I came across this because I often view youtube reviews this is clearly a really bad attempted but felt the need to report it regardless https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYvPj8AHNTo
