  1. Everything is working great now. I can't thank you enough for all the help you've provided. If I'm ever in your area I'm buying you a beer!
  2. Everything is running pretty smooth now and disk usage is way down. I think I'll hold off on uninstalling superfetch and see how things go.
  3. Uninstslling Malwarebytes definitely seemed to help. Disk usage is down and system seems to be running smooth now. There is something called Service Host: Superfetch that might be causing some mild issues, but not sure. I'd say things are running pretty much normal now.
  4. It seems about the same. Disk usage is still pegged at 100% but overall it's running about normal. I'm curious if uninstslling malwarebytes would solve the disk usage issue.

  8. It's actually really slow. Task Manager is showing constant 100% disk usage. It appears Malwarebytes Service is the culprit, but I'm not really sure. Also, something I've noticed is shortly after I turn the computer on, a command prompt (not sure if that's the correct terminology) window appears for just a second. Too quick to read what it is, but it looks like it has C: program files x86 in the title of the window. Not sure if this is related or not. I really appreciate your help getting to this point and am hoping you have a solution for these last remaining issues.

  12. Ok, it found two files, one of which I referenced in my original post, and I "cleaned" them up (deleted them). Should I run the MBAR scan again with all boxes checked? EDIT: I've since tried running MBAR again and it still chokes. I decided to run regular malwarebytes (which I am now able to do) and it seems to seems like it might be working.

  14. Hi Kevin, Thanks for taking the time to help me. I was finally able to get the scan started based on the linked instructions, but now it appears it isn't responding. It's been stuck on the same file location all day. Before it timed out it had detected over 7k malware hits. The only option it available is to cancel. Should I cancel and try again? Thanks, Cass
