I'm curious to know the resolution to this. We've been having a similar issue with one particular model of laptop we use in our company. Turning off the SSL option was the workaround until the update made it mandatory. No other desktop or laptop is having the issue updating. The model in question is the HP ProBook x360 11 G1, running Windows 10 v1709. It refuses to pull updates from the EEC or directly from the internet.
