  1. Hello everyone, I need help please! A weird white box with the internet symbol keeps appearing on my screen once in a while. When I put my cursor over it, an OK button appears. I click on it but the box doesn't go away. Does anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it? The only way it goes away is when I switch off my laptop and switch it on again but from time to time, it appears.
  2. @GT500, thank you for your reply. Yes, that's exactly why the decryptor wouldn't have worked. OK, that's good to know. I sent them an email yesterday and will wait for a reply. I wrote to them months ago and after getting replies at first, I never heard from them understandably, seeing as a lot of people got in touch with them about the issue.
  3. Hello @GT500, @Demonslay335, @Kevin Zoll and @Amigo-A, It's been a long time since we've conversed. I hope you're all well. I wanted to give you all an update on my issue. I've waited and waited and still haven't come across a Nemty decryptor that works. In the end, I had to save all my files onto external hard drives and reset my computer to factory settings. That was the only way to get all the Windows 10 functions, working again. I've downloaded the Nemty decryptor from the https://www.nomoreransom.org/en/decryption-tools.html site but the decryptor always fails. I don't know what to do. Does anyone know of any update decryptors or what to do in general? I await your responses.

  5. I guess so which is very annoying but I don't understand why no decryptor (versions 1.5, 1.6 or 2) would work seeing as I have the same problem as every other person that got infected.
  6. Alas, the decryptor didn't work for me. I wonder if this is the case for anyone else? I don't know what to do. I fortunately have backups of some files but not all.

  10. @GT500 Thanks for you comment. I've gotten in touch with Tesorion via email but haven't heard from them since and I really need their help to get my files back. @Amigo-A Oh gosh! That's awful! I wish something could be done to elimate ransomware from the web.
  11. @GT500 Thank you so much for your help with both issues. OK, I'l get in touch with people form all sites to see if they have any solutions. I also look forward to hearing what the ransomware analysts have to say.
  12. I just tried decrypting a file again and the decryptor failed (shown in the screenshot)
  13. @GT500 and @Amigo-A, I ran the commands but they made no difference. I still get an error message when I access Windows Defender Firewall (shown in the screenshot). Also, I've been unable to decrypt my files using the Tesorion decryptor (v2.0.7228.29806). Everything starts off fine when I upload the ransom note but once I upload a file, it always fails to be decrypted. Is there way I could get help with getting my files back?

  16. That's amazing!!! I'm so excited! Thank you for letting me know. I've emailed them. I tried both methods for Windows Firewall and nothing worked. This is what Powershell reported when I ran the command: An error occurred while attempting to contact the Windows Defender Firewall service. Make sure that the service is running and try your request again. Are there any other methods you could please suggest?

  20. I've been unable to enable Windows Defender. The attack disabled it and shows an error when I click on Use recommended settings:
  • Create New...
