  1. thanks for the reply. i know you are busy, but i did mention that safe mode behaves the same way; i cannot actually log into windows using normal boot or safemode. i can access recovery console and that's it. so i'm asking if there is a way to uninstall OA using command prompt only, as that's the only thing i can actually do anything on my computer. i'm using avira free and windows xp pro sp3. thanks again, -o
  2. i am using windows xp. i installed online armor and set it to block all programs. when i restarted, windows boots and comes up with the log in screen, but i cannot log into my account. when i try to log in it says "loading personal settings" then immediately says "logging off." i'm pretty sure i shouldn't have set online armor to block all programs, as now i think it is blocking essential drivers from loading. safe mode behaves the same, and so does logging into the administrator account. so, my question is, what can i do? is there a way i can disable online armor from the recovery console? or am i out of luck and need to re-install windows? let me know if you need any further information and thanks in advance for any help you can provide. -o
