  2. Hi, please forgive my opening this thread Fabian. But there is a way to remove icons from the notification tray. First: right click on the Taskbar. Select Properties. Second: click on Customize in the area marked Notification area. Third: Uncheck the item, Always show all notifications in the task bar. Fourth: Scroll through the list above this showing all icons, and choose the action you wish to take from the drop down menu. Fifth: Then click OK. This should remove the old icon. Best of luck.
  3. Have you looked in the exception list to make sure the program is listed? You can turn off Emsisoft and install. We at Emsisoft do not support the use of programs used for illegal activities and torrent software often is used to pirate content, software, music, videos. If that is your plan prepare for infections and issues. Of course torrents can be completely legal and is a useful content.

  13. Well I guess I had better replace my ready to fail HD and install Win7 I've been running OA for quite a while now on Vista x 64 LOL even bought it.
  14. I thought it did support x64 now? It worked fine until the latest updated version.
  15. I was going to post this very same issue. It began a few weeks ago and I thought I had fixed it with a reinstall but then discovered it simply had not updated at all. I have a screen shot of it attached.
  16. Google is one of the most, if not the most popular search engines and so more users get infected via Google than another search engine. Probably because of the Google tool bar and buttons for specific search areas also, i.e. images, maps, news, and so on it is more popular to target for exploits. Even other search engines will point to Google for results.
  17. Hi Cat, Thanks for the reply. What your saying makes sense except I have not blocked anything, but I started poking around in the interface and found something else using that port. verclsid.exe is shown twice on the rules list and the rule was created 3/22. It also has a UDP rule for outgoing but different ports, 49909 & 49911. Logs for today show nothing blocked, so I really don't know what's going on. One thing I did check to trust was my PCI Wireless adapter it wasn't trusted. Found this to be a good resource http://support.microsoft.com/kb/832017
  18. My Hotmail account was hacked last week, so I have been watching my firewall logs after scanning for anything. I can't find any malware so that is a relief, but there is a repeating internal IP blocked and no information on what or why. Is there a way to find what is in the packet? 03/04/11 14:38:30 TCP <- 192.168.10.2:2869, 192.168.10.1:53335, System(4/0)Blocked by restricted port list. This is the only information about the blockage and it happens over and over sometimes only a few seconds between blocking. I have a laptop with the free version of OA and it blocks the same IP's. Thanks for any info.
