Have to set status icon to 'Show icon and notifications" after every reboot

Recommended Posts

As a recently returned user to OA I also find that after each reboot I have to again set that icon status to 'Show icon and notifications'. I never leave my pc running overnight as a complete waste of electricity plus a source of fire hazard but do find this annoying as have never had this problem with any other firewall I have tried.

This does lead me to the conclusion that this is an OA problem and not a Microsoft one.

Since Online Armor uses two System Tray/Notification Area icons, and the way Windows handles processes that create more than one Notification Area icon are a bit buggy, you can experience some odd issues with getting them to always display. The easy way around this is just to have the Notification Area always display all icons and notifications, instead of having different settings for each icon.
