Handling of Avast/Avira/Eset NOD32 proxy - possible in free version?

Recommended Posts

If avast! is using a proxy to filter Internet traffic, then Online Armor will not be able to filter Internet traffic by application, as it will appear to all be coming from avast!'s network filter process.

Lurking here, considering OA for an XP box.

Is a design such as the one described in reply#4 over on Avast forum

possible to build in OA?

Or will "Intercept loopback interface" setting do the job?

I've been usiig Avast+OA for ages, checking "Intercept loopback interface" did the job in my system.

System Information:

Win XP Pro SP3

Avast! Free AV 8.0.1489

Online Armor Free

*Avast!/OA mutually excluded
