patrickjm
I'm running Windows XP SP3 using Outlook Express email client. Emsisoft AntiMalware. And really I'm reporting a quandary. Since I opened my email program this morning I've been inundated with a total of 263 advisories from my postmaster at Paradise, plus a few from Yahoo and Hotmail, indicating non delivery of emails I never sent, which suggests of course that my email client is infected. However,I've run a full scan plus the Emsisoft emergency kit scan wtih zilch results. I'm deeply suspicious of one of those chain emails received overnight from a friend along the lines of "Bayer is suing 'Europe' for saving the bees" and which apears to be a hot topic at the moment. But if an infection piggybacked in on it, it's not showing itself. I am, of course, totally peeved about all this priding myself of having only three infections since I bought my first PC with Windows 95. Two were pip squeaks and the third a quite exciting ride with the windows shutdown bar and the needed security patch bar running neck and neck to the finishing post with the patch winning by a nose. Phew! Anyway, it's all too much for this simple brain and I'm hoping brilliant minds will come to the rescue. Patrick P.S. Just checked: another four "delivery notifications: deliver has failed." Curses.
patrickjm
Postscript. I've done a little research on this subject and find it's not uncommon.Apparently it's a spam variation and I'm taking it up with my I.S.P.
