AaLF 2
Any benefit in keeping MBAM when I have EAM? (Note- I'm a conservative safe surfer. I don't venture over to the darkside websites.)
Siketa 67
As a second opinion scanner-yes. As a real-time protection-probably no. But it's up to you....
GT500 873
MBAM works fine with Emsisoft Anti-Malware on most computers, and should be OK to keep. I actually keep it installed with the real-time protection enabled, since I have a lifetime license for it.

I'm in doubt whether I should try to get one of the remaining lifetime licenses while they are still available.

After reading your post i checked MBAM´s webbsite and there is no such info there, i also did a search on their forum.

There's a link to the announcement at the link that stapp posted, if you haven't already seen it.

I was/am in doubt of the added value when you already run EAM, but it might be good as a second layer of defense. Do you exclude EAM and MBAM in each other settings? Siketa 67
I would rather choose whitelisting app instead of a second real time AV. AppGuard, NVT EXE Radar Pro or SecureAPlus.
Ken1943 3
Each program does not use the same definations. So each will look at something in a differant way. No program is perfect by itself.
hackerman1 6
Do you exclude EAM and MBAM in each other settings? Yes. EAM & MBAM works fine together, with realtime protection on.
Ken1943 3
All security progras are excluded from each other. My netbooks run Outpost Security Suite, MB and Superantispyware realtime protection. On my Win 8 desktops, I also have Emisoft Antimalware. Never noticed any problems. GT500 873
Do you exclude EAM and MBAM in each other settings? I did once upon a time when a bug in a beta version made me think I needed to, but right now everything seems OK with both of them.
