Allowing a program as trusted.

Recommended Posts

I'm currently trialling the Internet Security Pack and it's going well exept for one problem...

When I try to run my Tubedigger program it will come up with a "stopped working" error message and close. If I shut down Online Armor it runs ok.

I got a prompt from OA when I 1st open Tubedigger and I selected, "trust" and "remember my descision" and it's .exe listed in programs as allowed, but still get the error. I also tried learning mode.

The only way I can get it to run ok with OA is to add the whole Tubedigger folder to exclusions in OA's options, but shouldn't a program run ok if it's been marked as trusted?

I recommend adding your Tubedigger program to the exclusions in Online Armor. Here are some instructions for adding a folder to the Exclusions list in Online Armor:

  • Click on the Start button, go to All Programs, go to Online Armor, and click on the Online Armor icon to open it.
  • Click on Options in the menu on the left.
  • Go to the Exclusions tab.
  • Click on the Add button.
  • Use the little [+] and [-] icons to the left of folder names to open and close them, find the folder you want to add, click on it to highlight it, and then click OK at the bottom.
  • Close the Online Armor window.

Thanks had already done that and it works ok. Just wondered why the learning mode or selecting as trusted did not work? Seems work at 1st but after a system restart it crashes again.

Online Armor still monitors a program when it is trusted, but exclusions causes Online Armor to ignore the program.
