cley 0
Hello, When logged as an administrator, starting an on-demand scanner (command line and GUI) - including rootkits scanning - makes Windows XP SP3 Blue Screen of Death in my system. If I do the scanning - including rootkits - from a non administrator account the scanner finishes without crashing Windows. Can you help? Thanks a lot in advance. Christian Peters 99
Hello, thank you for the report. Can you please attach the minidump file for the BSOD to the topic? You will find the minidump files in the folder C:\Windows\Minidump\ or C:\Windows\System32\Minidump\. You can attach files to the topic over the More Reply Options button. Do you use any other security software on your computer?
cley 0
Thanks Christian. After reading your post I remembered there is a program called "WhoCrashed" which analyses crash dumps. I managed to locate the cause of the problem: it was a driver installed by an old version of Daemon tools. Uninstalled Daemon tools and problem gone. Thanks again.
