Setting rules for internet access?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

you can configure this settings in the Online Armor Advanced Mode (not available in the Online Armor Freeware version).

First right-click the Online Armor guard icon and select Advanced Mode. Then please open Online Armor and go to the section Firewall tab Ports. Press New to open the rule editor. Select the protocol (TCP, UPD or BOTH). Select Outbound on the Direction menu. Enable Selected program and choose the program executable from the open file dialog (3 dots). Now go to the tab Endpoint restrictions in the rule editor. Untick Use global restrictions and enable to any endpoint except following. Now press Add and type in the IP address or IP address range you would block for this program.

Thanks! If i understand correctly the first two fields are to block access to IP range and the third field is to block access to single IP address, correct? But what is the meaning of the mask field and what i have to enter there?

Hello,

the last IP Address and Mask fields will be automatically filled in. The Mask field should contain 32 for the CIDR notation.

CIDR notation is a syntax for specifying IP addresses and their associated routing prefix. It appends a slash character to the address and the decimal number of leading bits of the routing prefix, e.g., 192.168.2.0/24 for IPv4
