Peter Van Boom 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2014 Hi, I’m a customer who uses your program. I bought a new laptop with Windows 8.1 Pro x64 already pre-installed on it. Updated to the latest windows updates and installed the program EIS. Unfortunately I also experience problems with Grayed out boxes inside the program. The program has activated the firewall correctly see screenshot. Download Image Unfortenately going to the firewall screen. All boxes below are grayed out and cannot be edited??? Download Image So no new rules can be added nor existing ones altered. This is the same in the Application Rules settings screen (see below screenshot) Also there the buttons are grayed out. Download Image Also in the Surf Protection screen (buttons are grayed out). Download Image I have attached the FW log of my machine after software has been installed and laptop was rebooted. Everything looks okay there. No problem there there was no block of any program. The firewall driver is applied to the network card as below screenshot. RichardBurt 1 Report post Posted September 15, 2014 Have you tried installing ALL Windows Updates, including the optional ones? Then run Emsisoft IS 9 update a few times until it downloads nothing and restart machine. That fixed it for me. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
