Devin Snyder 0
Hello, We have Emsisoft IS on our Windows 7 64-bit OS. After I install IS I have it preform a quick-scan and after finishing the scan (it does not find anything). I was able to get the minidump information from the BSOD. Below is the information I hope it helps resolve this issue! If you need anything else don't hesitate to ask! EDIT:I forgot to add the dump files from before. They are now attached. THANKS! Andrew F. 28
Hello, Sorry you're having issues. The dumps you attached show "athrx.sys" as the driver which caused the bsod. It's not a part of EIS.
Devin Snyder 0
It happens at the same time of the install. So it's a driver that is not liking the emsisoft, corrrect? That file that you mentioned is a wlan card.

Devin Snyder 0
I had to do a restore on the system, I checked with the laptop's website (ASUS) and they appear up to date.
Devin Snyder 0
It just seems very strange to me that before installing emsisoft the bsod does not appear, but as soon as emsisoft goes in. It starts, is it possible that emsisoft is triggering something that starts the whole thing? I know it's an issue with the atheros driver, but i'm just dumb founded how this is occuring as soon as emsisoft gets installed and I reboot the computer.
Devin Snyder 0
Sorry to post so much. Got some news. I uninstalled the WLAN Driver and grabbed a new one from Asus' website. Did a reinstall and it's working. I will keep you posted if anything happens.
