Question - Active Rootkit Only Custom Scan Profile

Recommended Posts

Hello,

To perform an active Rootkit only scan I would complete the following steps:

On the Custom Scan tab:

1.  Select scan for active Rootkits

2.  Select use direct disk access (optional)

Then scan.

Is this not correct?

Thanks,

Selecting only the rootkit scan option is enough as that implies DDA for the areas that are being scanned. Rootkit scan is also part of the quick scan preset. So you don't necessarily have to create a custom scan for it if a quick scan finishes fast enough on your system.
