pallino 4
Hi EMSI Team, I read that with the last update to 9.0.0.4985 you improved the update process and the optimized the database. In the last 3 days I saw that the number of malware signatures is decreasing (e.f from 7 409 462 to 7 383 053 today)..just to be sure, is this due to the optimization or is this not normal (on my system)? thank you! Siketa 67
Yes, this is due to the optimization.
Fabian Wosar 390
As Siketa already mentioned, those fluctuating numbers are due to our ongoing optimization efforts.
pallino 4
Is there a way to be sure all is right/ to check the official nr of malware signatures? Today I have 7 359 610, got less after every single update since 4-3-15...just to be sure nothing altered EMSI or my laptop. thank you
stapp 152
The numbers more or less match mine. No need to worry. As Fabian said... those fluctuating numbers are due to our ongoing optimization efforts
Fabian Wosar 390
The way to make sure it is correct is to run the online update. Update listings are digitally signed. Meaning, only an unaltered listing is accepted by the client. So if the update says you have all the latest updates, it means you actually do.
