EIS Alert window does not close properly

If you open the task manager, look under processes tab, click on a2start.exe and press the end process tab does it go from the taskbar then ?

Before doing that, please be sure to open EIS, go to the Settings, and turn off the Self Protection. You can't terminate any processes from EIS as long as Self Protection is on.

Also, the notifications and alerts are displayed by a2guard.exe rather than a2start.exe, so you'd have to close a2guard.exe to get rid of the phantom taskbar icon. You can do this without needing to terminate it in the Task Manager and without turning off the Self Protection simply by right-clicking on the Emsisoft icon in the System Tray, and selecting "Shut down protection". You can get the icon back by launching EIS from the icon on your desktop.
