The free edition antivirus is not recognize by windows security center

Recommended Posts

Hi wertyboy15, welcome to the forum

1st, please provide more detailed information about your System Environment as in Forum Posting Rules #2)

Then the Free edition of a-squared does not have any real-time resident.

It has on-demand scanner only. At the same time there is no difference in scanning capabilities of the Free edition and Anti-Malware Suite, which is a full fledged Antivirus solution that includes Behavioral Blocker and Surf protection as well

My regards

A-Squared Free does not include a resident scanning module that is 'always on'. Your computer is not protected against live threats. A-Squared Free is provided as an on-demand scanner and is usually used in addition to a resident anti-virus/anti-malware program.

The reason the Windows Security Center is displaying this alert is because resident anti-malware protection has not been detected on your computer. You need to install an anti-malware program that will offer detection of malware as soon as it is introduced to your computer.
