Stripy 2 Report post Posted July 25, 2015 Every time when some applications are updating (firefox, thunderbird...etc) there is a popup of update rule. Is there any way that the update rule can be remember permanently? Because it's a little bit annoying to allow update every time for the same programs. Fabian Wosar 390 Report post Posted July 25, 2015 You can enable the "Don't alert when this file changes" option in the application rule. You can find the application rules under Protection/Application Rules. There is no way to set it globally. So you will have to enable it for every application each. Make sure to uncheck "Hide fully trusted applications" so you see all applications that currently have rules.
Stripy 2 Report post Posted July 26, 2015 Thanks! I didn't meant globally to set, but for each app when the popup is shown. Maybe you guys can consider it to add something like "add this rule permanently" in the popup, because it is a more convenient than in this way you describe me? Fabian Wosar 390 Report post Posted July 27, 2015 In general disabling the update dialog is risky, as at this point malware can just replace or patch the file and it will stay trusted. That is why the option is kind of hidden and inconvenient to use.
