sheen25 0
Hi I have a windows 7 32 bit with intel core i3 cpu. last week, while scanning my comp with emmisoft anti malware, I found reg keys after the malware scan. I decided to quarantine them since I don't know how to deal with it. I searched the web, then found the manual instructions in this forum. It's still in the quarantine area. I did a scan of EEK and Farbar Recovery Scan Tool. I also attached the quarantined log of the emmisoft anti malware named as quarantine. Here are the logs. Please help. Thank you very much. Kevin Zoll 309
Hello, You can safely delete the the items that are quarantined. I would need these 2 files to figure out what is causing the crashes. C:\windows\Minidump\081615-66191-01.dmp C:\windows\Minidump\082115-67158-01.dmpDo the following:Download AdwCleaner and save it on your desktop. Close all open programs and Internet browsers (you may want to print our or write down these instructions first). Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool. Click on the Scan button. After the scan has finished, click on the Clean button. Confirm each time with OK. You will be prompted to restart your computer. A text file will open in Notepad after the restart (this is the log of what was removed), which you can save on your desktop. Attach that log file to your reply by clicking the More Reply Options button to the lower-right of where you type in your reply.NOTE: If you lose that log file for any reason, you can find it at C:\AdwCleaner on your computer. Download Junkware Removal Tool and save it on your desktop.Run the tool by double-clicking it. The tool will open and start scanning your system. Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications. On completion, a log is saved to your desktop and will automatically open. Attach the JRT log file to a reply by clicking the More Reply Options button to the lower-right of where you type in your reply.

Kevin Zoll 309
Looks like the crash is being caused by the 32-bit EPP driver. I am going to have you delete the EEP32 driver. click on the Start button. Go to All Programs. Go to Accessories. Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. Type in sc delete epp32 and then press Enter on your keyboard. Restart your computer. Emsisoft will reload the driver will it loads at Windows start.

sheen25 0
Um,I have a question, earlier yesterday, after my session crashed, I attempt to run my laptop so I could continue my session. During my attempt, after the windows logo flash, the system in't seem to work for it only shows black screen. I experienced this several times, the I noticed, once, it prompted me to choose to run in normal mode or in safe mode. I chose safe mode, then the system seemed to run because it ran during that mode. Then I shut it down, and hoped to run in the normal mode but it didn't. So, I tried the f2 then f8 mode. Its I ran the diagnostic and asked me to system restore. Then it worked. What could be the cause of it? Is it because of the disable registry tools that emsisoft detected? Anyway, here's the latest minidump. it's dated 9/1//15. Thank you for your patience and help. I am a rookie when it comes to these kind of things. I appreciate the time. 090115-45427-01.dmp
Kevin Zoll 309
The removal of the disable registry entries would have nothing to do with the crash. The mini dump indicates the there is either a problem with Winlogon or the CSRSS user mode subsystem. Is the system booting properly after the system restore?
sheen25 0
Sometimes yes, sometimes, it crashes again. And when I turn it on again it prompts me to do a system restore.

Elise 277
Hello, because Kevin is unavailable right now, I'll help you with this issue. Can you boot in safe mode and see if you can run it from there? If safe mode crashes too, please let me know.

Elise 277
I see some evidence in your logs Norton antivirus was installed on your computer. Are you still using this? In some cases old installations can cause problems. If not, please run the Norton uninstaller. You can download it from here: https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/kb20080710133834EN_EndUserProfile_en_us Let me know if the problems still persist after running this.
