How can I see what programs are connecting to where?

Recommended Posts

My old Online Armor + had an ability to see a list of all the programs that are connecting online , where are they connecting to, how much data is being downloaded, what protocol is being used etc.

Well I can't seem to find that ability in EIS.

Please add it or tell me how to find it.

EIS does not have the same functionality as Online Armor and it is very likely never to be added.

What you are looking for is NirSoft's freeware NetworkTrafficView:  http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/network_traffic_view.html

I also recommend Comodo KillSwitch - which is freeware as well and will do precisely as you wish:  https://www.comodo.com/business-security/network-protection/cleaning_essentials.php

NOTE:  Install only KillSwitch (remove Comodo Cleaning Essentials portable scanner).

If you're on a modern version of Windows (Win7+), the built-in performance monitor's "network" tab will show you active TCP connectivity, remote server address/IP and remote port as well.

Whoops, my bad - meant resource monitor but linked docs to and mentioned performance monitor. derp.

I have a tendency to do the same thing, and have to check each time. ;)
