Recommended Posts

Hello, I got Error message after one big problem and many uninstall and reinstall due to Emsisoft all exe files disappear form source folder after update. :

Emsisoft Anti-Malware Can't Protect Your Computer
A computer resource prevents Emsisoft Anti-Malware from loading essential protection components.

Did many uninstall and reinstall with NO Success. 30 days trial or with my licence number give the same results

This is happening on One of my 2 computers Under Windows 7, the other one under windows 8.1 is ok

Please Help.

Windows 7 edition familial premium service pack 1  x 64 bits

Emsisoft Anti Malware last version downloaded yesterday on your web.

3 pc licenses

Valid until 01/07/ 2016

Step 1 for 2-3 days i remarked the Emsisoft icon was no more in the taskbar and i was launching Emsisoft manually from a desk shortcut.

ep 2 The D Day At the boot or a reboot (don't remember clearly it was after a major update or not) the computer, suddenly opened 20 windows of explorer automatically that i had to close manually. When I tried to launch Emsisoft form the shortcut it was no more working. A look to the root folder showed all exe files have disappeared.

Since then i tried to unistall and resinstall several times with no success.

It reinstalls but the same message appear at the end of the installation process and the protection icon is RED.

Thank you for your help.

Lets get a log from FRST, and see if it shows the cause of the issue. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) from one of the following links, and save it to your Desktop (please note that some web browsers will automatically save all downloads in your Downloads folder, so in those cases please move the download to your desktop):

For 32-bit (x86) editions of Windows:

For 64-bit (x64) editions of Windows:

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your computer. If you are not sure which version applies to your computer, then download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your computer, and that will be the right version.

  • Run the FRST download that works on your computer (for Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 please right-click on the file and select Run as administrator).
  • When the tool opens click Yes for the disclaimer in order to continue using FRST.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • When the scan is done, it will save a log as a Text Document named FRST in the same place the tool was run from (if you had saved FRST on your desktop, then the FRST log will be saved there).
  • Please attach the FRST log file to a reply using the More Reply Options button to the lower-right of where you type in your reply to access the attachment controls.
  • The first time the FRST tool is run it saves another log (a Text Document named Addition - also located in the same place as the FRST tool was run from). Please also attach that log file along with the FRST log file to your reply.

click on the Windows Start button.

Go to All Programs. Go to Accessories.

Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. The Command Prompt will open.

Type in "sc delete epp" without the "" and then press Enter on your keyboard. Then please restart your computer. Now Emsisoft Anti-Malware starts without problems and is working as expected?
