Cranfield 1
My browser is Mozilla Firefox. This morning upon opening it I received the following three Emisoft warnings. "C:ProgramFiles(x86)MozillaFirefox\updated\uininstall\helper.exe is attenpting to install invisibly" , then various options, I chose "allow once". then "C:ProgramFiles(x86)MozillaFirefox\updated the program has been changed, then varios options and I chose "allow once". then "C:ProgramFiles(86x)MozillaFirefox\updated the program is attempting to manipulate other processes, I chose "allow once" The last warning was all in red. I have no idea what any of this means, but it naturally has caused me a lot of concern. I have used Firefox for years with no issues and assumed it to be safe. Was I right to "allow once" ?If not, what should I do ?
Christian Peters 99
Hello, yes it was right to allow this behaviors. The problem is if you not run the firefox restart after a firefox update a new subfolder C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\MozillaFirefox\updated\ will be created by firefox. Then the new firefox files helper.exe and firefox.exe triggers the behavior alerts because it is a new file path.
Cranfield 1
Thanks for your prompt response, much appreciated. If I get the warnings again, I will select the "always allow" type option.
