cutting_edgetech
Does Emsisoft internet security scan HTTP traffic for malware, or does it just block known bad domains?
GT500
Our malicious website blocking (Surf Protection) only monitors DNS requests for known malicious domains, and blocks the DNS lookup on anything that's in our Host Rules. Our File Guard will also detect malicious content (HTML, JavaScript, etc) being saved in at least some browser caches as it is being saved, assuming you have the File Guard's scan level configured for either "Balanced" or "Thorough". "Balanced" is recommended for the best blend of performance and protection, and should be the default setting. "Thorough" will cause performance issues without adding much extra protection, however it can be useful in situations where you do not trust files that are being opened/read and don't want to scan the files first.
