calcu007
I noticed a slowdown when using Avast internet security and EAM, specially using Firefox. I excluded the Avast process in EAM, but it not fixed the problem
The Banned
Hi Bro EAM is a complete antivirus solution they have real time protection as avast is like have two antivirusses. If you want to use EAM just use EAM if you want to use AVAST just use AVAST you can use Emsisoft Emergency Kit as a Second opinion scaner on demand and dont need exclusion try uninstall the program who do you dont want whith the official uninstall tool to dont leave traces
Sintharius
Did you exclude Avast in EAM as well?
ShadowPuterDude
Avast is not compatible with our software. Avast will even display a notification stating just that when you try to install it with EAM/EIS already on the system.

The Banned
Let me explain to you Calcu Emsisoft Antimalware or Internet Security are a complete security solution a substitute of antivirus, really antivirus is an arcaism, an old word, bad therminology because now all security software detects spyware, viruses, worms, etc (All there are called malware) because that emsisoft are called antimalware because it stop all, emsi not are a complement like malwarebytes premium or zemana premium. Emsi not are compatible whith another antivirus emsi was an antivirus antimalware, antiall
Da Phu
What antivirus is compatible? You cannot run more than 2 antiviruses continually and simultaneously because your system performances will get hit 3x and BSOD will likely to occur. You can run antivirus with antimalware, but exclusions will needed to prevent false accusations from both security software. Emsisoft Anti Malware is anti malware and anti virus, therefore you don't need to run another security solution with Emsisoft, but you can experiment it as your own risk since we're not guarantee if it going to work on your system. David B.
The Banned is correct. Emsisoft Anti-Malware and Emsisoft Internet Security are combination products, with antivirus, antimalware, surf protection and behavior blocker, plus a firewall in the case of EIS. Don't let the "Anti-Malware" name fool you. We are antivirus as well. Our product does run along side some antivirus products, but overall, it is not necessary to run multiple, and can sometimes be bad, as Kevin Zoll pointed out. It isn't a bad idea however to run a "second opinion" type of scanner that is run on demand perhaps, in addition to any security suite like ours. Examples: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, Hitman Pro.
