Elise
I'm not in a habit of criticizing security products just because I work for Emsisoft, on the assumption that all security vendors do their best to combat the same enemy. Today however I'd like to draw your attention to the following case, where a company that supposedly is fighting the bad guys, in fact is targeting a large and well-respected computer help forum: Enigma Software (the developer of SpyHunter) is suing BleepingComputer.com because of a negative review about SpyHunter. I invite you all to read the article. As some of you may now, I am a staff member at BleepingComputer as well, but this is something that has the potential to affect any online community. Peter2150
1. I don't consider them a security company, they are a bunch of lawyers going their thing. 2. Unfortunately not all companies have the high sense of ethical conduct that is here at Emsisoft. You work for the best.
stapp
Looks like this will be a long running saga Quote Malwarebytes will have to head back to court to justify a decision to block its rival’s antivirus services after an appeals court threw out the security shop's legal justification. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2019/09/13/malwarebytes_enigma_blocking/
