MAMUTU UPDATES

Recommended Posts

MAMUTU is behaviour based and not signature based, so if no signatures have to be updated and the main module is the same what is updated then?

Thanks,

Claudiu

Claudiu,

Mamutu updates are listed here.

As you can see there are regular updates for the Trust module and there were some updates for the Anti-Malware Network module.

The Trust module contains information about files\programs that are trusted. This will significantly reduce the amount of, or even prevent, alerts for good programs.

Hi,

So, basically other than a white list/black list nothing is being updated ?

What exactely do you mean by "or even prevent, alerts for good programs"?

If a program is "good" , I still get an allert saying " this program was allowed because 100% of users allowed it" (not word by word)

Thanks

Claudiu

It's simple. If a program is trusted by Mamutu, i.e. it is in the program's trusted list, you will not be alerted to normal operations of the program.

There is a big difference between between a program that is trusted (tested) by Mamutu and 'trusted' by the community.

So, updates update the trusted program list and also occasionally update the program itself improving functionality, behavioural analysis detection and the overall user experience.
