Andrew M
For some reason I have received an invalid pointer operation warning for Emsisoft real time protection. Would this type of error effect my real time protection?
GT500
When do you see the error message? Is it when starting your computer, when trying to Emsisoft Internet Security, or at some other time?
Andrew M
It seems that the error message had popped up while Microsoft word and power point was opened. Note that this warning hasn't showed up again and hopefully my EIS real time protection is functioning properly.
Kane
Sometimes i have the same Problem with EAM. I think it's the "Protection > Surf Protection > Privacy risks" Function I have set to "Block and notify" and sometimes when Emsisoft block a Host then comes the invalid Pointer Message. Sorry for my bad English. Greetings
GT500
Andrew M, did you also change the setting for "Privacy risks"?
Andrew M
The "privacy risks" were changed to block and notify.
GT500
I wasn't able to reproduce the issue in a quick test, but I was testing in a web browser by visiting websites that would generate lots of notifications in the "Privacy risks" category. If it happens again, then let me know if you think you can easily reproduce it. If you can get the error to pop up whenever you want, then we can easily get debug logs.
