Emsisoft Internet Security cannot protect computer after upgrading from Ensisoft Anti Malware

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

I have bought a version of Emsisoft Internet Security yesterday to replace expiring Emsisoft Anti Malware. I was prompted to delete the old version and install the new one from scratch as it could not be easily upgraded from one to another. After doing so and installation finishing, the program said it "can't protect my computer during to resource problem". I have restarted the computer, searched on your forums and could not find a definite solution to this problem.

3 Modules out of 4 (Surf Protection, File Guard and Behaviour Blocker) cannot be enabled for some reason.

I am running windows 10 x64 with lots of ram and good processor, so the issue is definitely not in resources of my pc.

Please advise.

For anyone else searching for this, this was the fix:

1. Download the script from here:
2. Unpack the script to a location of your choice. To unpack just right click the file and select "Extract all". Pick the location you want the file extracted to and follow the wizard.
3. Right click the extracted reset_epp.bat file and select "Run as administrator".

After a reboot you should be able to enable the real-time protection just fine.
